The theories of the universe primarily refer to the origin and evolution of our universe. The Big Bang theory was published in 1915 and describes the beginning of the universe as a singularity. After the Big Bang, space began to expand and atoms, stars, and galaxies began to form. In the early 1920s, Albert Einstein published his theory of general relativity. This theory was subsequently modified by Arthur Eddington, who noted that the universe was expanding.
